Large trees, hedge elements, topiary, avenue trees, and even unique specimens—everything has been thought of. Between buildings, paths, and technical display areas, green islands and tangents are created. These green spaces improve the microclimate, offering visitors relaxation and the opportunity to unwind in nature, especially during hot summers. The focus is on planting large trees (up to 100-120 cm trunk circumference), as they immediately begin their noticeably climate-positive activity after planting: filtering fine dust, cooling the surrounding air, binding CO2 and surface water, and much more.

The Lorenz von Ehren nursery was founded in 1865 in Hamburg and has been run as a family business ever since. With Bernhard von Ehren as the managing partner, the company is now led by a family member in its fifth generation. Bernhard von Ehren is supported by Konrad Parloh, who, as the second managing director, helps shape the company's affairs.

The nursery is one of the leading nurseries in Europe and is a significant player in the green industry both nationally and internationally. Major export countries include the United Kingdom, France, the Alpine countries, Russia, and other Eastern European states.

At its three locations in Hamburg (headquarters), Bad Zwischenahn, and Rellingen, the company employs around 170 staff members and manages approximately 570 hectares.

The product range includes over 500,000 plants. As a full-range supplier, the nursery offers more than 2,000 genera, species, and varieties.

This includes avenue trees with trunk circumferences of 14-16 cm to solitary shrubs with around 140 cm trunk circumference (e.g., approximately ten tons in weight), conifers, rhododendrons, evergreens, solitary shrubs, distinctive fruit trees, topiary, and multi-stemmed shrubs.
